For many, it wouldn’t be summer without
the opportunity to spend an exciting week at Vacation Bible School.
But if you haven’t ever experienced VBS, it isn’t your typical school
at all – unless your school includes crazy skits, energetic songs,
yummy snacks, and challenging games! Here at Kenosha Bible, we pack
all this into 5 exciting mornings where a caring staff gives their
all to show kids God’s love. This year, our VBS kids will join us
to visit SonWorld Park!
Get ready for an action-packed week as we transform
Kenosha Bible Church into a virtual theme park! No, we aren’t erecting
a rollercoaster over the pond, but we do invite you to enter SonWorld
Adventure Park, where kids will discover that choosing Jesus is the
ticket to the best ride of their lives. Hold onto your hats, because
it’s sure to be a life-changing ride! Based on Joshua 24:15, we
want to help kids learn to make right choices in a world of options.
Daily themes focus on choosing belief, action, forgiveness, obedience
and Jesus!
You may register
online or by printed form. A form
will also be included in next month’s edition of the KBC
KidsNews newsletter. Once registered, your child will be invited
to take part in the “Season Pass Challenge,” where they will receive
Bible-based assignments via e-mail. Those completing all 4 levels
of the challenge will be designated “SonWorld Park Season Pass Holders,”
and receive a small prize.
When you register, you may request that your child
be placed in a group with one friend – as long as the friend is in
the same age range (Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade, 3rd & 4th
grade, or 5th & 6th grade) and that the friend also requests
your child (friends must request each other).

To participate in the afternoons of VBS Plus, the child
must be registered for the week of VBS. Pre-payment of the $24 fee
is also required (see below).
Our afternoon VBS Plus –
designed to help leaders get to better know the older kids involved
in VBS – has been a hit every year! VBS Plus will again be offered
on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the upper elementary
school-aged kids . VBS Plus will feature exciting
outings to local activites, with themes of:
Tuesday, July 22nd: Round Day!
For this afternoon, we will be spending time playing
with balls of all sizes. After lunch, we will play some unique ball
games here at the church, then head off to the Guttormsen Recreation
Center for some bowling, and a snack close by! We will return to
the church to end the afternoon with more activities with round objects,
where we will wrap things up by 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 24th: Action Day!
Our second afternoon
will feature a trip out to Action Territory! Admission there will
include miniature golf, as well as water wars, laser tag and more.
(One note: we will not be doing the paint ball activity.) Following
an afternoon full of adventure, we will return to the church by 5:30
p.m.
Some important notes:
- VBS Plus is open to all kids entering 3rd grade and above.
- To ensure a quality program, enrollment is limited to the first
44 kids.
- Registration is complete only upon payment of the fee. If a
registered child will not be able to participate, refunds will
be made if the spot can be filled.
- Each child must provide their own lunch and drink for both days.
- The cost of the program is $24 per child – this includes all
admission fees, transportation and snacks.
- Children are strongly advised to bring sunscreen (for Thursday).
- Kids are NOT to bring extra money either day!!
