The following procedures for requesting
the reservation of church facilities are designed to prevent misunderstanding
and to insure that the requested facilities are available according
to expectations.
- All requests for use of church facilities must be made in
writing by using the "Church Facilities Reservation Request" form.
The form may be downloaded
online,* mailed upon request or picked up at the church office.
- Completed request forms are to be submitted to the Church
Secretary and reviewed for calendar conflicts. In general, rooms
will be assigned on a “first come, first served” basis,
although exceptions are possible. Any scheduling conflicts will
be discussed with staff members before approving or disapproving.
- Events outside the scope of established KBC ministries (Sunday
School, youth groups, Bible studies, etc.) or not sponsored by
an existing KBC ministry will require approval by the Trustee
Board. Events sponsored by groups not associated with KBC must
have Trustee Board approval.
- Once approved, reservations will then be placed on the church
activities calendar. Persons making the request will be notified
and given a confirmation copy.
- All wedding arrangements, including rooms to be used, should
be done through the church wedding committee. (See also Weddings).
- Private functions (parties, showers, meetings, banquets, use
of the gym, etc.) may be subject to fees as determined by the
Board of Trustees to cover extra cleaning and utilities. The
requesting group will be notified of any fees required before
confirmation of the request. Official church functions take priority
over such requests, especially on Sundays. The Trustee Board
approval is needed for such requests.
- A non-attendee must have sponsorship of a KBC member in order
to request a facility reservation. Trustee Board approval is
needed for such requests.
