 Pastor
Dean grew up in Rockford, IL. He has served in ministry since 1984.
Before coming to Kenosha Bible Church in September 2006, he served
as senior pastor at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Easton,
PA, for sixteen years. Prior to that, he also served at churches
in Lodi, California, and Boone, Iowa.
Pastor Dean believes that the keys to success in his ministry
are (1) being a transparent lover of God and man, (2) never losing
sight of the grace that brought him to salvation, (3) taking seriously
the call given by the Lord to be an undershepherd of others, and
(4) making sure that the Scriptures drives all he is and does.
Three phrases that stay with him are (1) "Grace with Backbone" (finding
the balance and striving to live there), (2) measuring all he does
by the standard "To Know HIM & Make HIM Known," and
finally... (3) seeking to live "seriously joyful" every
day.
As KBC's senior pastor, his goals are: (1) to challenge Christ-followers
to know Christ in ever-deepening ways and thereby be change agents
in the world around them, (2) to clearly and passionately declare
the truths of Scripture in a way that will ripple in the lives
of those who hear the Word, and (3) to see KBC grow in BOTH quantity
and quality for His kingdom’s sake.
He is a graduate of Trinity College with a double major in Biblical
Studies and Sociology, and received his Master of Divinity from
Trinity Seminary.
He is married to Jill and has four children, Bethany, Luke, Anna
and Abby. |
