Pastor
Jim grew up in Chicago and Cedar Lake, Indiana. He has served
in ministry since 1970, starting out as a part-time youth
pastor at his home church, Lake Dakecarlia Bible Church,
in Lowell, Indiana. He also served two other small churches
in Illinois and Indiana as pastor. Before coming to Kenosha
Bible Church in August 1995, he served at Winnipeg Evangelical
Free Church for sixteen years.
He is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.A. in Social
Studies Education and received his Master of Divinity in
Pastoral Studies degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity
School. Later, while pastoring in Winnipeg, he earned a Master
of Arts in Christian Education degree from Winnipeg Theological
Seminary.
He believes that the key to success in his ministry is found
in Paul's charge to Timothy to pursue righteous living, godly
characteristics, faith in God's will, love for others, endurance
in serving, and gentleness with all. His goal is to transform
people into faithful disciples through worship that ushers
us into God's presence, fellowship that builds significant
relationships, and training that prepares us to reach our
full potential for service to others and outreach to those
in need of Christ.
He is married to Barbara and has two grown children, Linnea
and Eric, and two grandchildren, Makayla and Evie-Jo.
