Preschool For our preschoolers,
the beginning of September means time for promotion to new classes! On Sunday,
September 9th (after Labor Day weekend), parents should
take their children to their new classrooms when they arrive, and
we will have a short promotion celebration in each of the classes. The
new groupings will be as follows: |

* the new Gentle Glows class will begin in December or January,
when there are enough new 2 year olds to establish a solid
group. It is hard to have a group of 1 or 2 children!
Elementary School
For the elementary school kids, we have an exciting change! At
9:00, all of the kids will meet together in room 216 for an opening
session with our elementary coordinators, Jeff and Jan Love. They
will then be dismissed to their age groups. Also, our upper
elementary kids will be divided by gender rather than by grade,
with the girls studying a curriculum just for them for the fall
(based on the book “Appleseeds” by Betty Huizenga). The
schedule at a glance is as follows: |
