What is Single Adults Fellowship?

Single Adults Fellowship is a group for single adults, roughly 30 to those who are not quite ready for Joy Fellowship, to come together for an evening of friendship, fellowship, and fun. It is a time and a place for lives to be enriched through social activities with other single Christian adults. Read more...

What the Single Adults Fellowship isn't:

1. Single Adults Fellowship is not a support group.
2. Single Adults Fellowship does not replace Single Parents, rather it is a new group at Kenosha Bible Church.

How can I participate?

1. Sign up on the bulletin board by the choir room.
2. E-mail SingleAdults@kenoshabible.org
3. Call Deb Laverty at 262-652-5983 or Kathryn Barrick at 262-653-8944.

More about the Single Adults Fellowship

The goal of the Single Adults Fellowship at Kenosha Bible Church is not for single persons to find their identity in singleness but rather to see themselves as God sees them as his child who, by His grace that strengthens us, can do all things. Our contentment comes not from what we want, but the realization of how much we already have. Contentment is a state of trust before God, not a destination to be achieved. We do not need to do something about our singleness, rather we need to do something with it.

For most, singleness will only be a stage in life’s journey, but even a stage is a gift. Our God is a God who places people in appropriate situations for the best possible reasons. This gift for this day should be accepted from the giver (God) with thanksgiving, for He may replace it, in his time, with another gift. With this in mind we do not want to “just cope” as singles, merely passing the time while we wait for a new stage in life to arrive so life may really begin. Rather a rich single life exhibits a love for others that produces meaningful relationships radiating the glow of friendship, fellowship, and service. Sharing our lives, in friendship, fellowship, and service yields a value and richness far beyond our greatest earthly accomplishments.
